The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) held a series of public information meetings on November 5, 6, 10, 12, and 13, 2014. The purpose of the meetings was to present the US 51 Preferred Alternatives. During the meeting, IDOT personnel and representatives from the consultant team were available to answer questions about the proposed project, property acquisition, and relocation assistance. Exhibits and maps of the Preferred Alternative were also available for review during the entire time as well as copies of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).
